HF 1605 and HF 1669 failed to pass out of committee and were tabled. Thanks to GOCRA and all who took the time to testify against these bills today and thanks to the Republican members of the committee for voting to table these bills.
Because of threatened abuse of the House rules by anti-gun Representative Dave Pinto, a hearing has been forced in the House Public Safety Committee for two gun control bills THIS THURSDAY beginning at 10:15 a.m.
* HF 1605: Gun Violence Restraining Orders
* HF 1669: Universal Background Checks
We anticipate that the hearing will last approximately 90 minutes.
We’re anticipating approximately 30 minutes total to be spent on each bill. Committees usually take public testimony.
WE NEED YOU AT THE HEARING:
Arrive early (by 8:00 a.m., if not earlier)
Park in an available lot nearby – ample parking is available within 2-3 blocks.
The hearing is being held in the State Capital building Room 120.
Lawful carry is allowed with a Minnesota Permit to Carry – no other notification is required. Please carry concealed.
